Today's GemScore reports are snapshots. Valuable snapshots — but frozen in time the moment they're generated.
V4 changes that. We're building Living Intelligence: reports that breathe, update, predict, and respond.
Here's what's coming and why it matters for the industry.
The Problem With Static Reports
Every evaluation tool in the market (including ours, today) produces a document. You submit information, AI analyzes it, you get a PDF or web page. Done.
But startups aren't static. Markets shift. Teams evolve. Traction compounds (or doesn't). A report from January might be dangerously misleading by March.
The current workaround? Re-run the evaluation. Pay again. Compare manually. It works, but it's friction that shouldn't exist.
What V4 Introduces
1. Scenario Modeling
Instead of one score, V4 generates probability-weighted futures:
- Optimistic scenario — What if everything goes right?
- Base case — The most likely trajectory
- Pessimistic scenario — What if key risks materialize?
Each scenario includes specific assumptions and triggers. You'll know exactly what needs to happen (or not happen) for each future to unfold.
Why it matters: Investors don't bet on certainty — they bet on risk-adjusted outcomes. Scenario modeling makes that explicit.
2. Interactive Q&A
Your report becomes a conversation partner.
Ask follow-up questions: "What would it take to improve my Readiness score by 15 points?" or "How does my competitive position compare to [specific competitor]?"
The system uses RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) over your evaluation data, market research, and evidence chains to give precise, contextual answers.
Why it matters: Static reports answer the questions we thought to ask. Interactive reports answer the questions that emerge after you've digested the analysis.
3. Financial Model Generator
Auto-generated 3-year projections based on:
- Your stated assumptions
- Industry benchmarks for your category
- Comparables from similar companies at similar stages
The model is editable — tweak assumptions, see how outputs change. Export to Excel for your own modeling.
Why it matters: Financial projections are table stakes for fundraising, but most early-stage founders either skip them or build fantasy spreadsheets. V4 gives you a defensible starting point grounded in reality.
4. Live Monitoring
Connect your data sources — Stripe, Google Analytics, CRM, banking — and your report updates automatically.
Traction metrics refresh in real-time. If your MRR crosses a threshold or churn spikes, the system recalculates affected scores and flags the change.
Why it matters: This is "living" in the literal sense. Your GemScore becomes a dashboard, not a document. Investors with access can watch progress without asking for manual updates.
5. Investor DNA Matching
Personalized investor recommendations based on:
- Thesis alignment — Does this investor actually invest in your space?
- Portfolio fit — Are there conflicts or synergies with their existing bets?
- Behavioral patterns — What stage, check size, and velocity do they typically operate at?
This feature ties into our MCP Server work (more on that in a future post).
Why it matters: Fundraising is inefficient because founders spray emails at investors who were never a fit. DNA matching cuts through the noise.
6. Video Pitch Analysis
Upload your pitch video. V4 analyzes:
- Transcript — What you said, structured and searchable
- Slide content — OCR + interpretation of your deck
- Delivery feedback — Pacing, clarity, confidence signals
Why it matters: More fundraising happens over video (Loom, async pitches, recorded demos). Your pitch delivery is part of your readiness — V4 evaluates it.
The New Tier: Intelligence
V4 features will live in a new tier called Intelligence.
Screening, Assessment, and Verification remain as they are — proven, reliable, and priced for accessibility. Intelligence is for founders and investors who want the full living-report experience.
Pricing TBA. We're testing with design partners first.
Why This Matters for the Industry
The startup evaluation space is stuck in a pattern: submit form, get report, repeat.
That made sense when AI was expensive and slow. It doesn't make sense now.
V4 is our bet on where the industry goes:
- From documents to dashboards — Living data beats frozen snapshots
- From one-way to conversational — Ask, don't just read
- From generic to personalized — Your evaluation should know your context
- From isolated to integrated — Connected to your actual business metrics
We're not the only ones thinking this way. The teams that move fastest on living intelligence will define the next generation of founder-investor infrastructure.
Timeline
V4 is targeted for Q2-Q4 2026, with early features rolling out to design partners in Q2.
If you want early access — especially if you're an investor who would use scenario modeling and live monitoring in your workflow — reach out. We're actively selecting design partners.
What You Can Do Today
V4 is the future. But V3 is here now and already delivers:
- Dual-axis scoring — Potential + Readiness, not just one number
- Adversarial debate — Bull vs. Bear stress-testing every claim
- Evidence chains — Every score traced to specific sources
- IC-ready memos — Shareable artifacts, not chat transcripts
Try your free Screening and see what institutional-grade evaluation looks like — before it starts updating itself.
